Why are the last ten days of Ramadan so distinguished?
How can these last ten of Ramadan not be so important, especially that they include a night that is better than a thousand months which is “Laylat Al-Qadr” and we have to do as our beloved prophet used to do in the last ten days of Ramadan.
We have to investigate that night and do our best in this night like reading the Holy Qur’an, praying extra prayers and talking to Allah from our hearts and asking him Subhanu to forgive us and also asking him everything we need, and be sure that God will accept this prayer from us, and that is because we believe the saying of our beloved prophet Muhammad PBUH, which is:
{Supplicate God when you are assured of being answered and know that God does not answer a supplication that comes from a careless and inattentive heart.}
Prophet Muhammad PBUH liked to live in the atmosphere of positive manifestations. So, if we did the same, each of us will have the heart and mind connected to the love of Allah the almighty in a very beautiful way that cleanses the hearts, purifies the soul, and makes us attract all positivity and good things in life.
What is Laylat Al Qadr?
“Laylat Al-Qadr” is a great blessed night that God made it distinguished and better than all the nights of the rest of the year, as it was mentioned in the Holy Quran when Allah the Almighty said:
{Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ sent this ˹Quran˺ down on the Night of Glory. And what will make you realize what the Night of Glory is? The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months. That night the angels and the ˹holy˺ spirit1 descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every ˹decreed˺ matter. It is all peace until the break of dawn.} Surat Al-Qadr verse 1: 5
And in the same context our beloved prophet Muhammad PBUH said about it:
{Whosoever performs Qiyam during Laylat-al-Qadr (Night of Glory), with Faith and being hopeful of Allah’s reward, will have his former sins forgiven.}
Actually, it is a night full of all the meanings of love and peace.
As long as we live these blessed days, we wish we can be better persons because of such unique spirituality of these last ten days of Ramadan, and we wish we can clean our hearts and keep them protected from all negative energies like hatred or envy that affect us sometimes, and we wish also we can spread love among us as it should be, and stay away from gossips, rumors or envy that have corrupted relations between people but made members of the same family life as if they were in isolated islands.
And that takes me to say that we wish we could take the opportunity to enter the last ten days of Ramadan by reforming what has been ruined by time, decorating our lives with the love of God, and reviving the noble customs and traditions that were previously the reason for bringing people closer together, this is an opportunity to be reconnected to our family members and friends in a better way as this blessed month only happens once a year.
Yes, we must strive in these blessed days and abide by obedience and worship until each of us comes out of the month of Ramadan and he is forgiven after fasting, doing good deeds like charity, and obeying Allah. Congratulations to those who worked well in these days and were able to receive the great reward promised by the great Creator Allah.
