“اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ (1) خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ (2) اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ (3) الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ (4) عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ “
Transliteration: “Iqra/ bi-ismi rabbika allathee khalaq (1) Khalaqa al-insana min AAalaq (2) Iqra/ warabbuka al-akram (3) Allathee AAallama bilqalam (4) AAallama al-insana ma lamyaAAlam”
Tranalation of the verses: Read: In the Name of your Lord Who created, Created man from clots. And your Lord is The Most Honorable, who taught by the pen. He taught man what he did not know.
Indeed, the Prophet Muhammed was unable to read and write, and the angel Gabriel requested Him to read. From this time the message of the Prophet Muhammad started with a unique event and unique speech.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ مَا مِنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ نَبِيٌّ إِلاَّ أُعْطِيَ مَا مِثْلُهُ آمَنَ عَلَيْهِ الْبَشَرُ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُ وَحْيًا أَوْحَاهُ اللَّهُ إِلَىَّ فَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَكْثَرَهُمْ تَابِعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ”.
Narrated Abu Huraira said that The Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) said, “Every Prophet was given miracles because of which people believed, but what I have been given, is Divine Inspiration which Allah has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection.”
