Why Islam is the Solution to Racism?!
Shapes of racism from the past till now:
1-White and black Though our world in the twenty-first century is very civilized, it’s not immune to this abhorrent nervousness, and crude racism, which is based on race, religion, or colour, and events bear witness to that. And whoever observe the events in America between whites and Negroes knows that racism is the main reason for them. Racism is present from the past to our present time.
2-Human race And do not be surprised if we say: Racism has even extended to the theories that are taught in universities, and we remember an example of that which is the theory of evolution advocated by Charles Darwin, and it relates to the human race, in which he claimed that the origin of mankind goes back to apes, and this – no doubt – is contempt for what God honoured. As Allah said that he honoured Humans. God Almighty said in the Holy Qur’an:{Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures.} [Al-Isra/ The night journey verse 70] These are racist theories that deliberately insulting the human race which is God’s bounty. As for our true Islamic religion, it fought racism and casteism in all its forms since the resurrection of the Prophet, peace be upon him, till now.
Islam fights racism for decades and encourages peaceful social relationships: A) By clarifying, Encouraging and Forbidding 1-In Qur’an In Qur’an it is clear that Allah created different nations, colours, social classes to know each other and benefit from each other.
Allah The Almighty said in the Holy Qur’an: {O humanity! Indeed, we created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.} [Al-Hujurat/ The rooms verse 13] Also, we should know the difference like the human race, and the multiplicity of its forms is one of God’s miracles.
He says in the Holy Qur’an :{ And one of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your languages and colours. Surely in this are signs for those of ˹sound˺ knowledge.} [Rum/ The Romans verse 22] 2-In Sunna Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم (tried a lot to forbid racism and encourage equality by many ways. He, peace be upon him, confirmed what is mentioned in Qur’an meaning in his sayings as it is narrated by Abu Dawood in his Sunan from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him said: The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم (said: Allah has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting in ancestors.
One is only a pious believer or a miserable sinner. You are sons of Adam, and Adam came from dust. Let the people cease to boast about their ancestors. They are merely fuel in Jahannam, or they will certainly be of less account with Allah than the beetle which rolls dung with its nose.)), B) By Islamic legislations
1- In Qur’an Islam has been relentlessly striving towards eliminating social class differences in a single society, and this was evident in several legislations aimed at liberating slaves and preventing slavery, which was strongly prevalent in the Arabian Peninsula and elsewhere before Islam, thus making the emancipation of slaves a reason to being away of hell in the hereafter. The Almighty said in Qur’an: {If only they had attempted the challenging path ˹of goodness instead˺! * And what will make you realize what ˹attempting˺ the challenging path is? * It is to free a slave.} [Al-Balad/ The city: 11-13].
2- In Sunna Ahmad narrated in his Musnad on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: (The Messenger of God (صلى الله عليه وسلم,(said: ((If anyone emancipates a Muslim slave, Allah will set free from Hell an organ of his body for every organ of his (slave’s) body.)). Islamic legislation has been concerned with the liberation of the slaves so much that it made the expiation of killing a person by mistake is liberation one of the slaves. So, it shows how much it was great to give slaves their freedom and then treat them as anyone else. So, Islam was and will always be the solution for racism. The whole world needs Islam for better sociable communities
